Bullish Celtic's manager insists he is not worried about being fired yet Celtic fans unleash fury after defeat.
The Celtic boss stated he had no concerns about the sack, asserting, “The team is very near to a turnaround,” despite moving dangerously close to the exit with a comprehensive loss to Rangers.
A Second-Half Collapse Results in Old Firm Loss
Celtic had led the visitors at the interval but a second-half capitulation allowed the Gers to pull level on points with the reigning league title holders. The former MLS manager, who was appointed from the MLS, has now been in charge for six losses in his first eight games.

Celtic’s support voiced their fury – towards the board and manager – by gathering at Parkhead. The board would be most likely to return to Martin O’Neill, who had a fruitful temporary stint previously, if the Frenchman were sacked.
“It’s the results [that leads to pressure]. That is the situation for the moment. Yet in stating this is the reality, I am not saying that I am giving up. Not at all. What I mean we are on the cusp, imminently close to turn things around.”
Nancy’s Persistent Belief
Nancy remains focused on the fact his team show good levels for one half at a time. Indeed, but for missed chances they would have been greater than 1-0 up. “I saw enough aside from the fact that we haven’t scored more goals,” he said. “I accept that we lost, but I must remain objective.
“The standard we had at times was really, really, really high. That happened. I wouldn't speak so positively if it was different. Therefore, when it comes to wins, I said it's a repeating pattern. Which is why I believe we are nearly there to things turning around. Currently: small things.”
“We produced many, many good things that we did, like today again. However is consistency. My narrative would change the same. This is why I am convinced we will manage to turn things around.”
The Rangers Boss Stance
The victorious boss refused to contemplate a title charge even after what appeared to be a landmark win. “Step by step, and we can develop something here,” he said. “The confidence in the group is excellent.”
