Devoted followers of the actress are demanding that a man who breached a barrier and touched the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a promenade flanked by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being arrested", though legal records showed that he was scheduled to be present on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram profile features recordings of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the area last December.

"There needs to be action taken against him as this is clearly a legal violation," stated an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over the Star's Safety

Numerous followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the end of her 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented another message on Instagram.

Several supporters also faulted guards at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some requested digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande appeared surprised when she was touched by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of Singapore fans had lined up to meet the actors of Wicked

Many of attendees had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be released on November 21, is the second of a two-part adaptation of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which centers on the unlikely friendship between two contrasting witches.

The show itself is a derivative of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning film of the previous year in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, winning two for best costume and production design.
