Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed missile attacks throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a significant and continuing assault against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone close to the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any destruction is not yet known and the US has remained silent.

Regional Interceptions

In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their airspace.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.

IRGC Statement

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was attacking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on the Islamic Republic initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.

That US-Israeli operation - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted areas linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump urging the people of Iran to revolt against the government.

Regional Fallout

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military reported it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The defence ministry of the UAE announced that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses engaged the projectiles with high efficiency and shot down a number of missiles," it added.

Officials reported missile fragments landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some property damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
