Ways these Broncos together with their 'play-dough' quarterback can halt that Chiefs' reign.

Week six of the 2025 NFL season
Live coverage includes live text for the weekend matchups on various channels, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, radio commentary is available on designated networks covering a separate game (from 21:00 BST).
We're in the sixth week of the football calendar and after recent discussion about two top teams as a potential Super Bowl match-up, each surrendered their unbeaten records.
Notable in those games were the number of infractions each committed. Philadelphia committed them at crucial times meaning they essentially defeated themselves having led 17-3 entering the final quarter against Denver, set to play overseas this weekend.
But it proved good to see that Denver quarterback the rookie was able to overcome that deficit and then direct three scoring drives on three possessions during the final period, to win the victory 21-17.
Denver boast the top defender in cornerback their star corner. They rank first in red zone defence, whereas the Eagles lead the league in red zone offence, and the Broncos prevailed in that contest.
They had the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They did not always rushing extra defenders instead they might position two linebackers in the interior then drop them out and dispatch a slot defender off the edge.
Early on in the campaign, we said during a show how Denver could be this season's dark horses. They finished the previous year well then did a good job of building upon that.
Are the Denver Broncos this year's dark horses?
Recently acquired TE their tight end has stepped up significantly while recent RB their rusher is a player the team trusts. He's currently fifth league-wide in ground gains (402) and tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).
I love that the coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" at the top of his playcall sheet.
This demonstrates that the Broncos represent a squad that wants to prioritize the run, since you can achieve much off the back of that. It slows down the pass rush and keeps you in favourable situations.
This has benefited quarterback the young passer, who entered into the league as a first-round selection last year, passing for 29 TDs – just behind Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).
Josh Allen and Herbert have powerful arms to throw anywhere, however they lack the mobility as Nix. He has incredible passing ability, a unique trait, and he's highly agile.
His strengths include his mobility, being able to pass while moving, as well as using different arm angles to make throws when he rolls out of the pocket, on rollouts. He is able to deliver precision throws over the middle or past defenders.
For a young quarterback, aged 25, he displays great poise under pressure and is not really fazed by extra rushers. He tries to avoid a sack as much as possible and can throw under pressure. He has sharp intelligence and remains quick to decide.
When you consistently run the ball it consumes the clock and forces the opponent to be in play extended periods, and when you've got an athletic quarterback the defense has to cover the field vertically side to side. It can be exhausting.
The quarterback has bitten back with the coach during games at times and I think the coach likes that fire, seeing him as such a competitor. In my view it's exciting for him to have a young quarterback who's similar to moldable clay. The coach can truly develop him the way he wants to build it. I believe it's a unique opportunity for the coach.
The head coach has won a Super Bowl and has passed a legend in all-time victories (173, tying for 14th). He's seen everything. In my opinion the achievements the Broncos are having on offence is largely down to his guidance, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the pairing with the QB aids make him what he is.
You wouldn't want a better guy in your ear, to assist you during some of the tougher situations and boost confidence.
I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet is the team strong enough to face an elite team at its best? Because that was not championship-level play from Philadelphia in their last game.
Right now, I don't think the Broncos are incredible. They're working better than most, that's a solid position to hold their division. The key is is maintain this path.
They're really good at leaning into their strength, which is running the ball, and this is exactly what they must do against the New York Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.
The Jets have allowed 140 yards on the ground each contest (among the worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (10th worst), and they're the only team yet to win any game.
Since the NFL began tracking takeaways in 1933, this team are also the inaugural squad to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is surprising considering that the head coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator with another team.
Patrick Mahomes says the Chiefs are off to a poor start following a recent loss by the Jaguars.
After the upcoming matchup, Denver face a manageable slate until their break (in week twelve) - the Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.
In their division, Kansas City hold a losing record and the Broncos are even with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could make a run for the top of the division.
This hinges upon what version of the Chiefs they face because Denver {beat|def
